Section 30-3D-705 Direct request. (a) A petitioner may file a direct request seeking establishment or modification of a support order or determination of parentage of a child. In the proceeding, the law of this state applies. (b) A petitioner may file a direct request seeking recognition and enforcement of a support order or support agreement. In the proceeding, Sections 30-3D-706 through 30-3D-713 apply. To become eligible for membership in the Alabama Network of Family Resource Centers, a family resource center located within the state shall provide evidence of achieving all of the following standards: (1) Being in operation and delivering services to families for at least 15 consecutive calendar months. Section 26-17-102 Definitions. In this chapter: (1) "Acknowledged father" means a man who has established a father-child relationship under Article 3. (2) "Adjudicated father" means a man who has been adjudicated by a court of competent jurisdiction to be the father of a child. (a) Except as provided by subsection (e), an incapacitated person or any person interested in the welfare of the incapacitated person may petition for appointment of a limited or general guardian.
