Section 9-8-23 Creation and incorporation of districts; increase or decrease in boundaries; reorganization; change of name. (a) Any 25 owners of land lying within the limits of the territory proposed to be organized into a district may file a petition with the State Soil and Water Conservation Committee asking that a soil and water conservation district be organized to function in the territory described in the petition. Such petition shall set forth: (1) The proposed name of said district; (2) That there is need in the interest of the public health, safety and welfare for a soil and water conservation district to function in the territory described in the petition; (3) A description of the territory proposed to be organized as a district, which description shall not be required to be given by metes and bounds or by legal subdivisions but shall be deemed sufficient if generally accurate; and (4) A request that the State Soil and Water Conservation Committee duly define the boundaries...

Section 25-5-57 Compensation for disability. (a) Compensation schedule. Following is the schedule of compensation: (1) TEMPORARY TOTAL DISABILITY. For injury producing temporary total disability, the compensation shall be 66 2/3 percent of the average weekly earnings received at the time of injury, subject to a maximum and minimum weekly compensation as stated in Section 25-5-68, but if at the time of injury the employee received average weekly earnings of less than the minimum stated in Section 25-5-68, then he or she shall receive the full amount of the average weekly earnings per week. (a) A disqualified person may not acquire or hold an interest in a horse racing facility licensee or an operator. Section 34-27-36 Disciplinary action - Generally. (a) The commission or its staff may on its own, or on the verified complaint in writing of any person, investigate the actions and records of a licensee. The commission may issue subpoenas and compel the testimony of witnesses and the production of records and documents during an investigation.
