Section 32-5A-31 Obedience to traffic-control devices; devices presumed to comply with requirements. (a) The driver of any vehicle shall obey the instructions of any official traffic-control device applicable thereto placed in accordance with law, unless otherwise directed by a police officer, subject to the exceptions granted the driver of an authorized emergency vehicle in this chapter. (b) No provision of this chapter for which official traffic-control devices are required shall be enforced against an alleged violator if at the time and place of the alleged violation an official device is not in proper position and sufficiently legible to be seen by an ordinarily observant person. Whenever a particular section does not state that official traffic-control devices are required, such section shall be effective even though no devices are erected or in place. Section 32-7A-6 Evidence of insurance; insurance card. (a) Every operator of a motor vehicle subject to the provisions of Section 32-7A-4 shall carry within the vehicle evidence of insurance. Section 34-1A-5 Licenses - Issuance; fees; suspension or revocation; nonresident license; display; written service contracts; confidential information. (a) The board shall issue licenses authorized by this chapter to all qualified individuals in accordance with rules or regulations established by the board. (b)(1) Effective beginning January 1, 2014, the license fee for a two-year period as set by the board shall not exceed three hundred dollars ($300) for an individual and one thousand five hundred dollars ($1,500) for a business entity.
