Section 41-9-621 Powers and duties of commission as to collection, dissemination, etc., of crime and offender data, etc. The commission, acting through the secretary, shall do all of the following: (1) Develop, operate, and maintain information systems that will support the collection, storage, retrieval, analysis, and dissemination of criminal justice information, other data that will aid crime fighting and public safety, including data from license plate readers, biometrics and geospatial information, and data from automated-data collection systems operated by criminal justice agencies consistent with those principles of scope, security, and responsiveness prescribed by this article. The commission may adopt rules and policies regarding the collection, use, storage, dissemination, and transmittal to ALEA of this information by criminal justice agencies within the state. All bonds issued by an authority shall be payable solely out of the revenues and receipts derived from the leasing or sale by the board of its projects, or from any other source as may be designated in the proceedings of the board under which the bonds are authorized to be issued. Section 15-20A-5 Sex offenses. For the purposes of this chapter, a sex offense includes any of the following offenses: (1) Rape in the first degree, as provided by Section 13A-6-61.
