Section 12-14-18 Remittance of court costs, fines and forfeitures previously collected upon abolition of municipal court. When a municipal court is abolished as provided by law, the court costs, fines and forfeitures collected by the court clerk as a result of enforcement of ordinances of the municipality shall be remitted as follows: Ninety percent of the fines and forfeitures and 10 percent of the costs, exclusive of earmarked funds, shall be paid to the treasurer of the municipality or to the officer corresponding to the treasurer thereof within 30 days after receipt by the clerk of the circuit and/or district court.
