Section 45-36-252.03 Board of directors. (a) The board of the Jackson County Water Authority
shall consist of five directors who shall be appointed in the following manner: One director
by the Jackson County Commission for an initial term of two years; two directors by the state
senator from Jackson County for initial terms of three years so that both of these appointees
are not qualified electors of the same state House of Representative's district; and two directors
by the members of the state House of Representatives representing Jackson County for initial
terms of four years. (b) As soon as may be practicable after the organization of the authority,
an election shall be held by the board of directors to elect a vice chair and a secretary-treasurer.
After the initial term of three years for the chair, the board of directors shall elect a

Section 45-49-140.08 Board of trustees. (a) The affairs and business of the district shall
be managed by a board of trustees consisting of five members who shall be elected by the qualified
electors of the district unless a candidate is unopposed for office. A candidate who is unopposed
for office shall be declared elected by the judge of probate immediately following the close
of the qualification period. Beginning with the year 1998, the election shall be held on the
last Tuesday in March of each year and any runoff election, if needed, shall be held three

Section 11-61A-7 Board of directors. (a) The authority shall be governed by a board of directors
of seven members. The board shall be elected by the governing body of the municipality. Each
member of the board shall be a qualified elector of the municipality. No elected official

Section 45-8A-21 Anniston City Board of Education. (a) A school board as established by the
City of Anniston, Alabama, shall be called "The Anniston City Board of Education."
The board shall be composed of one member being elected from each of the wards in the city
as defined in this section by a majority of the qualified electors voting who reside in each
