Section 40-20-8 Allocation and distribution of net taxes collected; property which consists
of submerged lands and onshore lands; onshore lands defined; applicability of section; final
determination establishing allocation base. (a) Ninety percent of the net amount of all taxes
herein levied and collected by the department on oil or gas produced from submerged lands
as herein defined shall be deposited to the State General Fund. The remaining 10 percent of
such net amount shall be allocated and distributed by the Comptroller to the county in which
the oil or gas was produced for county purposes or to be expended at the discretion of the
county governing body. (b) Twenty-five percent of the net amount of all taxes herein levied
and collected by the department, except as provided herein in subsection (a), shall be deposited

Section 28-3A-6 Manufacturer licensing and requirements; tastings or samplings; charitable
event donations. (a) Upon applicant's compliance with this chapter and the rules adopted under
this chapter, the board shall issue to applicant a manufacturer license which shall authorize
the licensee to manufacture or otherwise distill, produce, ferment, brew, bottle, rectify,
or compound alcoholic beverages within this state for sale or distribution within this state.
No person shall manufacture or otherwise distill, produce, ferment, brew, bottle, rectify
or compound alcoholic beverages within this state or for sale or distribution within this
state or to the state, the board, or any licensee of the board, unless the person or the authorized
representative of the person shall be granted a manufacturer license issued by the board.

Section 40-17-359 Distribution and use of proceeds. (a) For the purpose of this section, the
following terms shall have the meanings ascribed below: (1) BASE ANNUAL COUNTY DISTRIBUTION.

Section 45-7-241 Levy of tax; disposition of funds; construction with state sales tax statutes.
(a) The following words, terms, and phrases as used in this section shall have the following
respective meanings except where the context clearly indicates a different meaning: (1) "Commissioner"

Section 40-20-2 Levy and amount of tax upon business of producing or severing oil or gas from
soil, etc., generally. (a)(1) There is hereby levied, to be collected hereafter, as herein
provided, annual privilege taxes upon every person engaging or continuing to engage within
the State of Alabama in the business of producing or severing oil or gas, as defined herein,

Section 45-37A-100.05 Administrative hearings; contesting liability; fines and costs; affirmative
defenses. (a) An administrative hearing officer appointed by the mayor of the city is vested
with the power and jurisdiction to conduct administrative hearings of civil violations provided
for in this article. (b) A person who receives a notice of violation may contest the imposition
of the fine by submitting a request for an administrative hearing of the civil violation,
in writing, within 15 days of the 10th day after the date the notice of violation is mailed.
Upon receipt of a timely request, the city or its designee shall notify the person of the
date and time of the administrative hearing by United States mail. (c) Failure to pay a fine
or to contest liability in a timely manner is an admission of liability in the full amount
