Section 43-8-1 General definitions. Subject to additional definitions contained in the subsequent
articles which are applicable to specific articles or divisions, and unless the context otherwise
requires, in this chapter, the following words shall have the following meanings: (1) BENEFICIARY.
As it relates to trust beneficiaries, includes a person who has any present or future interest,
vested or contingent, and also includes the owner of an interest by assignment or other transfer
and as it relates to a charitable trust, includes any person entitled to enforce the trust.
(2) CHILD. Includes any individual entitled to take as a child under this chapter by intestate
succession from the parent whose relationship is involved and excludes any person who is only
a stepchild, a foster child, a grandchild or any more remote descendant. (3) COURT. The court

Section 24-1-22 Definitions. The following terms, wherever used or referred to in this article,
shall have the following respective meanings, unless a different meaning clearly appears from

Section 45-42A-24.02 Notice ordering abatement; hearing; appeal. (a) For purposes of this part,
the enforcing official shall mean either the mayor or such other city official or employee
as the mayor from time to time may designate. Whenever, in the opinion of the enforcing official,

Section 9-10A-14 Powers of board. The board of directors of a watershed management authority
shall have power to: (1) Acquire, by purchase, gift, grant, bequest or devise, or through
condemnation proceedings held in the manner provided by Chapter 1A of Title 18, such lands
or rights-of-way as are necessary for the exercise of any authorized function of the authority.
Prior to commencing condemnation proceedings upon land or rights-of-way in the manner provided
by Chapter 1A of Title 18, the board of directors of a watershed management authority shall

Section 34-27-36 Disciplinary action - Generally. (a) The commission or its staff may on its
own, or on the verified complaint in writing of any person, investigate the actions and records
of a licensee. The commission may issue subpoenas and compel the testimony of witnesses and
the production of records and documents during an investigation. If probable cause is found,
a formal complaint shall be filed and the commission shall hold a hearing on the formal complaint.
The commission shall revoke or suspend the license or impose a fine of not less than one hundred
dollars ($100) nor more than two thousand five hundred dollars ($2,500), or both, or reprimand

Section 35-11-233 Assignment of lien; transfer of lien on real property to other security.
(a) Any claim for which a lien is provided in this division may be assigned; and the assignee
shall thereby be invested with all the rights of the original holder of the lien, and be entitled
