Section 11-67A-2 Inoperable motor vehicle defined; nuisance exception. For purposes of this
chapter, the term "inoperable motor vehicle" shall mean any motor vehicle, trailer,
or semi-trailer that has remained on private property and in view of the general public for
30 days or any greater period fixed by the municipality and is inoperable in that one or more
of its major mechanical components, including, but not limited to, the engine, transmission,
drivetrain, or wheels, are missing or are not functional, or the vehicle otherwise constitutes
a nuisance. An inoperable motor vehicle shall not be deemed a nuisance if the motor vehicle

property subject to this part within the city limits of the city or in unincorporated areas
of the county, which attain such large growth as to become a fire menace when dry, or which

Section 11-67-68 Alternate abatement procedures; costs. (a) In the case of any property on
which overgrown grass or weeds have been previously abated or on which abatement has been
attempted through the process of posting notice on the property to be abated pursuant to Article
2 or this article, a municipality may adopt procedures different from the procedures provided
in Article 2 or this article to abate overgrown grasses and weeds for subsequent abatement.
(b) After the abatement of any overgrown grass or weeds pursuant to the procedures provided
in the ordinance adopted pursuant to this section, the reasonable costs of abatement shall
be assessed and collected as a weed lien in the same manner as provided in Section 11-67-66.

(a) The Legislature finds that an airport hazard endangers the lives and property of the general
public, the users of airports, and the occupants of land in their vicinity, and reduces the
