Section 11-53-4 Construction of chapter. This chapter shall be liberally construed as being
additional authority of incorporated municipalities to adopt ordinances relating to the establishment
and enforcement of minimum standards for buildings, dwellings and structures of all types

Section 12-5A-14 Construction. (a) All laws or parts of laws, both general and local, and any
rules or portions of rules adopted by the Supreme Court which conflict with this chapter are
