Section 22-3A-2 Definitions. The following words and phrases used in this chapter, unless the
context clearly indicates otherwise, shall have the following respective meanings: (1) AUTHORITY.
The public corporation organized pursuant to the provisions of this chapter. (2) BONDS. The
bonds issued under the provisions of this chapter. (3) COUNTY BOARD(S) OF HEALTH. County board(s)
of health provided for in Chapter 3 of Subtitle 1 of Title 22. (4) DIRECTORS. The board of
directors of the authority. (5) GOVERNMENT SECURITIES. Any bonds or other obligations which
as to principal and interest constitute direct obligations of, or are unconditionally guaranteed
by, the United States of America, including obligations of any federal agency to the extent
such obligations are unconditionally guaranteed by the United States of America and any certificates

Section 23-7-5 Powers and functions. (a) In addition to the powers contained in other provisions
of this chapter, the bank has all power necessary, useful, or appropriate to fund, operate,
and administer the bank, and to perform its other functions including, but not limited to,
the following power to: (1) Have perpetual succession. (2) Adopt, promulgate, amend, and repeal
bylaws, not inconsistent with this chapter for the administration of the bank's affairs and
the implementation of its functions including the right of the board to select qualifying
projects and to provide loans and other financial assistance. (3) Sue and be sued in its own
name. (4) Have a seal and alter it at pleasure, although the failure to affix the seal does

Section 16-3-28 Authority of board and trustees of institutions to borrow from federal agencies
or others; issuance of bonds, notes and other securities. (a) The State Board of Education,

Section 23-1-178 Bonds - Disposition of proceeds. (a) The proceeds of all bonds, other than
refunding bonds, issued by the corporation remaining after paying the expenses of their issuance
shall be deposited in the State Treasury and credited to the Road and Bridge Fund, and shall

Section 2-3A-7 Powers of authority; open meetings. (a) The authority shall have the following

Section 24-1-61 Definitions. The following terms, wherever used or referred to in this article
shall have the following respective meaning, unless a different meaning clearly appears from
