Section 16-25-103 Funding for benefits. The Board of Control of the Teachers' Retirement System shall determine annually the amount to pay the cost of the benefits provided in this article and shall notify the chief fiscal officer of each employer the percentum rate of earnable compensation required to be paid to the retirement system. Each employer of members of the Teachers' Retirement System of Alabama shall pay on account of the increase provided in this article in the same manner and from the same source of funds as is provided in Section 16-25-21, it being the intent of the Legislature that the cost of providing the increase provided in this article shall be distributed from all funds in proportion to the salaries paid therefrom for active members. Section 28-3-207 Exemption of sales to certificated or licensed air carrier with hub operation in state from this article. There is hereby exempted from the provisions of this article and from the computation of the amount of tax levied, assessed or payable under such article, the sale of all spirituous or vinous liquors sold by the Alabama Alcoholic Beverage Control Board to a certificated or licensed air carrier with a hub operation within this state, for use in conducting intrastate, interstate or foreign commerce for transporting people or property by air. The purpose of the Electronic Tax Return Filing Act is to authorize the Department of Revenue to accept tax returns and other documents of all types filed in electronic commerce without violating other statutes originally drafted for the use of paper returns submitted either personally or through the mail.
