Section 22-21-173 Incorporation - Certificate of incorporation - Contents; acknowledgment;
filing. The certificate of incorporation of any public corporation incorporated under this
article shall state: (1) The name of the corporation, which shall be Hospital Authority of
_____ (or space to be filled in with the names of the county and of the municipality or municipalities
which are to be members thereof, or with the name of any hospital proposed to be acquired
by the corporation or with such other descriptive name as in the judgment of the members of

by governing body of authorizing municipality. (a) A public corporation may be organized pursuant
to the provisions of this article in any municipality. In order to incorporate such a public
corporation, any number of persons shall first file a written application with the governing
body of such municipality, which application shall: (1) Contain a statement that the applicants

Section 24-1A-3 Incorporation of authority authorized; application; filing; fees. (a) The nine
persons initially designated as members of the authority may become a corporation with the
power and authority provided in this chapter by proceeding according to the provisions of
