Section 45-40-30 Lawrence County 2015 Commission. (a) In Lawrence County, there is created the Lawrence County 2015 Commission, hereinafter called the commission, for the long-term planning of economic development, business, and education in the county, whose members serve on a voluntary basis and without compensation. (b)(1) The commission shall be composed of volunteer residents of the county who submit written application for appointment to the Lawrence County Legislative Delegation as provided in this section for the following positions: Director, deputy director, associate directors for the areas described in subdivision (2), and other commission membership positions as the delegation may offer.
