Section 31-14-3 Creation; composition; meetings; compensation; powers and duties. (a) There
is created the Alabama Job Creation and Military Stability Commission. Members of the commission
shall include a chair and two vice chairs. The chair shall be the Lieutenant Governor, or
in the absence of a Lieutenant Governor, the chair shall be the Governor, or his or her designee.
The vice chairs shall be the President Pro Tempore of the Senate, or his or her designee,
and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, or his or her designee. (b) The commission
shall also consist of the following members: (1) Two members of the House of Representatives
appointed by the Speaker of the House of Representatives. (2) Two members of the Senate appointed

Section 34-21-2 Board of Nursing generally. (a) There is created the Board of Nursing, which
shall be composed of 13 members to be appointed and have the duties and powers enumerated
in this section. The membership of the board shall be inclusive and reflect the racial, gender,
geographic, urban/rural, and economic diversity of the state. In order to insure continuity
of administration, the nine board members provided for by Section 3 of Act 427, Regular Session
1975, shall continue to serve to the completion of the term for which they are serving. The
Governor, within 60 days of January 1, 1984, shall appoint a tenth member who shall be a licensed
practical nurse for a term of four years from a list of nominees furnished him or her by the
Alabama Federation of Licensed Practical Nurses, Incorporated, or its successor organization.

Section 45-13-130 Powers and duties. The county commission shall employ a county engineer,
who shall be a qualified and competent civil engineer, possessing all of the qualities as
specified for county engineers pursuant to law. The county engineer shall devote his or her

shall be composed of eight members, two of whom shall be ex officio members and six of whom
shall be appointed members, three each to be appointed by the President of the Senate and

Section 40-9B-3 Definitions. (a) For purposes of this chapter, the following words and phrases
