Section 11-50-32 Rights and powers of foreign municipal corporations to contract with persons,
municipal corporations, etc., within state for water supply. Such foreign municipal corporations,
in connection with the development of a public water supply from this state, shall have the
right, power, and authority to contract with any person or persons, municipal corporation,
or private corporation located in this state for a supply of water, upon such terms as may
be mutually satisfactory and not repugnant to the Constitution and laws of this state, in
the same manner and to the same extent as an individual or private corporation may contract

Section 11-50A-1 Definitions. As used in this chapter, the following words shall have the following
meanings unless the context clearly indicates otherwise: (1) AUTHORITY. Alabama Municipal
Electric Authority created pursuant to this chapter and any successor or successors thereto.

Section 40-23-4 Exemptions. (a) There are exempted from the provisions of this division and
from the computation of the amount of the tax levied, assessed, or payable under this division
the following: (1) The gross proceeds of the sales of lubricating oil and gasoline as defined
in Sections 40-17-30 and 40-17-170 and the gross proceeds from those sales of lubricating
oil destined for out-of-state use which are transacted in a manner whereby an out-of-state
purchaser takes delivery of such oil at a distributor's plant within this state and transports

Section 7-9A-109 Scope. (a) General scope of article. Except as otherwise provided in subsections
(c) and (d), this article applies to: (1) a transaction, regardless of its form, that creates
a security interest in personal property or fixtures by contract; (2) an agricultural lien;

Transportation to designate the roads to be constructed, repaired, and maintained and to construct,
standardize, repair, and maintain roads and bridges of this state; and it shall have authority
