Section 34-8-28 Distribution of funds; annual report. (a) An amount of one hundred dollars
($100) from the fees required for application and renewal for certification and registration
of general contractors in Section 34-8-2, and an amount of fifty dollars ($50) from the fees
required for application and renewal of the license of a subcontractor pursuant to Section
34-8-7, shall be distributed by the State Licensing Board for General Contractors to all accredited
public institutions of higher education offering American Council for Construction Education

Section 36-27-1 Definitions. When used in this article, the following terms shall have the
following meanings, respectively, unless the context clearly indicates otherwise: (1) RETIREMENT
SYSTEM. The Employees' Retirement System of Alabama as defined in Section 36-27-2. (2) EMPLOYEE.
Any regular employee of the State of Alabama whose salary is paid by state warrant by the
state, except a member of the Legislature of the state, a person who is covered or eligible

responsibility for the proper operation of the retirement system and for making effective
the provisions of this article are hereby vested in a board of trustees which shall be known

Section 9-17-24 Notification requirement; hearing; fees; Alabama Oil and Gas Board Special
Fund. (a) Any person desiring or proposing to drill any well in search of oil or gas or any
person proposing to drill a Class II injection well as defined in the Federal Safe Drinking
Water Act, 42 U.S.C. ยง 300f et seq., before commencing the drilling of any such well, shall
