Section 37-6-21 Sale, lease or encumbrance of property; offeror's disclosure statement; invitations for competing or alternative proposals; exceptions; effect of violation. A cooperative may not sell or lease all or any substantial portion of its property, unless such sale or lease is authorized at a duly held meeting of the members thereof by the affirmative vote of not less than two thirds of all the members of the cooperative and unless the notice of such sale or lease shall have been contained in the notice of the meeting. (a) All municipalities shall have the following powers: (1) To license any exhibition, trade, business, vocation, occupation, or profession not prohibited by the Constitution or laws of the state which may be engaged in or carried on in the municipality.
