Section 24-1-71 Form, denominations, terms, etc., of bonds; sale of bonds; issuance of interim
certificates, etc. (a) The bonds of the authority shall be authorized by its resolution and
shall be issued in one or more series and shall bear such date or dates, mature at such time
or times, not exceeding 60 years from their respective dates, bear interest at such rate or
rates, payable semiannually, be in such denominations, which may be made interchangeable,
be in such form, either coupon or registered, carry such registration privileges, be executed
in such manner, be payable in such medium of payment, at such place or places, and be subject
to such terms of redemption, with or without premium, as such resolution or its trust indenture
or mortgage may provide. The bonds may be sold at public sale held after both of the following:

Section 11-42-2 Annexation election and proceedings generally; proceedings where parties consent
to annexation. Whenever the council shall pass a resolution to the effect that the public
health or public good requires that certain territory (described in the resolution) shall
be brought within the limits of the city or town: (1) It shall be the duty of the mayor to
certify a copy of such resolution to the judge of probate of the county in which the land
proposed to be annexed is situated, and said certified resolution shall have attached thereto
a plat or map of said territory, which certified resolution and plat or map shall be filed

Section 11-51-1 Levy and assessment of property taxes; notice of and conduct of hearing upon
objections to assessments. After October 1 of each year, cities and towns may levy taxes upon
property and all subjects of taxation liable therefor at a rate not in excess of the constitutional
limit upon assessments to be made by the city or town clerk or other person designated by
the council or other governing body, such assessment to be made on the state assessment in
the manner provided by the Constitution of the state or in the manner hereinafter authorized

Section 34-11-9 Practice by firms. (a)(1) A firm that practices or offers to practice engineering
or land surveying is required to obtain a certificate of authorization from the board in accordance
with rules adopted by the board. (2) An entity that performs engineering services or land
surveying services for itself, or for a parent or subsidiary, is not required to have a certificate
of authorization. (3) A firm may not be relieved of responsibility for the conduct or acts

of the work of reviewing and adjusting assessed valuation under the provisions of this chapter,
the assessing official shall give notice by publication once a week for two consecutive weeks

Section 45-37A-53 Abatement of weeds. (a) All weeds growing upon private property within municipalities
of the state having a population of 300,000 inhabitants or more, according to the last or
any subsequent federal census, which bear seeds of a wingy or downy nature or attain such
a large growth as to become a fire menace when dry, or which are otherwise noxious or dangerous,
may be declared to be a public nuisance by the governing body of any such municipality, and
thereafter abated as in this section provided. (b) Whenever any such weeds are growing upon
any private property, the governing body of any such municipality may, by resolution, declare
the same to be a public nuisance. The resolution shall refer to the street by the name under
