Section 33-2-180 Definitions. Where used in this article the following words and terms shall
be given the following respective meanings unless the context hereof clearly indicates otherwise:
(1) CODE. The Code of Alabama 1975, as amended. (2) DEPARTMENT. Alabama State Docks Department
created in Chapter 1 of Title 33. (3) DIRECTOR. The Director of State Docks provided for in
Section 33-1-3. (4) DOCKS FACILITIES. Docks and all kinds of docks facilities, including elevators,
compresses, conveyors, warehouses, water and rail terminals, bulk handling facilities, coal
handling facilities, grain elevator facilities, wharves, piles, quays, cold storage facilities,
loading and unloading facilities, and other related structures, facilities, equipment, property
and improvements of every kind needful for the convenient use of same, in aid of commerce

Section 40-5-4 Commissions. The tax collector shall be entitled to receive commissions on taxes
collected by him, not including taxes on real estate bid in by the state at tax sales and
taxes which would be due on property except for the provisions of the presently applicable

Section 41-10-142 Bonds - Issuance; form, terms, denominations, etc.; sale; refunding bonds;

Section 45-37A-53 Abatement of weeds. (a) All weeds growing upon private property within municipalities
of the state having a population of 300,000 inhabitants or more, according to the last or
any subsequent federal census, which bear seeds of a wingy or downy nature or attain such
a large growth as to become a fire menace when dry, or which are otherwise noxious or dangerous,
may be declared to be a public nuisance by the governing body of any such municipality, and
thereafter abated as in this section provided. (b) Whenever any such weeds are growing upon

Section 45-49A-10.05 Power to borrow money and issue revenue bonds. (a) The corporation shall
have the power to borrow money and to issue revenue bonds as evidence of any money borrowed,
which bonds shall be payable solely from the revenues derived from the activities and enterprises

Section 11-3-11 Powers and duties generally. (a) The county commission shall have authority:
(1) To direct, control, and maintain the property of the county as it may deem expedient according
