Section 28-3-1 Definitions. As used in this title, the following words shall have the following meanings unless the context clearly indicates otherwise: (1) ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES. Any alcoholic, spirituous, vinous, fermented, or other alcoholic beverage, or combination of liquors and mixed liquor, a part of which is spirituous, vinous, fermented, or otherwise alcoholic, and all drinks or drinkable liquids, preparations or mixtures intended for beverage purposes, which contain one-half of one percent or more of alcohol by volume, and shall include liquor, beer, and wine. (2) ASSOCIATION. A partnership, limited partnership, or any form of unincorporated enterprise owned by two or more persons. (3) BEER, or MALT OR BREWED BEVERAGES. Section 45-37A-52.94 Vacancy. Whenever any vacancy in the office of mayor shall occur by reason of death, resignation, removal, or any other cause, the president of the council shall assume the duties of the office of mayor effective on the date such vacancy occurs and shall serve as acting mayor until a new mayor is elected and qualified as hereinafter provided. It shall not be unlawful for the authority to conduct, operate, manage, or promote on Sunday any amusement or recreational activity within the corporate powers of such authority, or for any other person to participate or engage in such amusement or recreational activity on Sunday, if such amusement or recreational activity is conducted or operated in a public park situated in the city and under the control of such authority.
