Section 25-4-51 Rates of contributions, etc., by employers. (a) Contributions. Except as hereinafter
provided and subject to the provisions of Section 25-4-54, every employer shall pay contributions,
or payments in lieu of contributions, equal to the percentages of wages payable or paid as
hereinafter set out, with respect to employment by him. (1) With respect to employment during
calendar years after December 31, 1975, every employer who has been liable to the provisions
of this chapter during a period of time sufficient to have his rate of contribution determined
under the experience rating provisions of Section 25-4-54 shall pay contributions at the rate
prescribed thereby. (2) With respect to employment after December 31, 1975, every employer
who has not been liable to the provisions of this chapter for a sufficient length of time

Section 11-65-20 Terms of operator's license. (a) An operator's license issued under this chapter,
whether for horse racing and pari-mutuel wagering thereon or for greyhound racing and pari-mutuel
wagering thereon, shall be for an initial period of 20 years, but shall be subject to renewal
as provided in this section. A commission shall have no power to modify the terms of an operator's
license, once issued, without the prior written consent of the holder of such license. An
operator's license shall be reviewed annually, but such license shall be revocable by the
commission only if the holder thereof shall not be in compliance with the provisions of this

Section 25-5-8 Employers' options to secure payment of compensation. (a) Option to insure risks.
An employer subject to this chapter may secure the payment of compensation under this chapter
by insuring and keeping insured his or her liability in some insurance corporation, association,
organization, insurance association, corporation, or association formed of employers and workers
or formed by a group of employers to insure the risks under this chapter, operating by mutual

Section 34-27-32 Requirements for license; application; place of business; branch offices;
multiple brokers; fees. (a) A license for a broker or a salesperson shall be registered to
a specific real estate office and shall be issued only to, and held only by, a person who

Section 8-20-5 Limitations on cancellations, modifications, terminations, and nonrenewals of
franchise relationships. (a) Notwithstanding the terms, provisions, or conditions of any agreement

Section 37-5-2 Creation; alteration; consolidation; dissolution. A municipal power district
may be created as provided in this chapter and, when so created, shall be considered a municipal
corporation and may exercise the powers granted in this chapter. The governing body of every
municipality proposed to be included in a district shall pass a resolution declaring that
the public interest or necessity demands the creation and maintenance of a municipal power
district, describing the territory to be included in the proposed district, and file a certified

Section 25-5-57 Compensation for disability. (a) Compensation schedule. Following is the schedule
of compensation: (1) TEMPORARY TOTAL DISABILITY. For injury producing temporary total disability,
the compensation shall be 66 2/3 percent of the average weekly earnings received at the time
of injury, subject to a maximum and minimum weekly compensation as stated in Section 25-5-68,
but if at the time of injury the employee received average weekly earnings of less than the
minimum stated in Section 25-5-68, then he or she shall receive the full amount of the average

Section 34-21-2 Board of Nursing generally. (a) There is created the Board of Nursing, which
shall be composed of 13 members to be appointed and have the duties and powers enumerated
in this section. The membership of the board shall be inclusive and reflect the racial, gender,
geographic, urban/rural, and economic diversity of the state. In order to insure continuity
of administration, the nine board members provided for by Section 3 of Act 427, Regular Session
