Section 11-43C-80 Existing contracts continued in force; public improvements for which legislative
steps taken. All contracts entered into by the city, or for its benefit, prior to the application
to such city of the mayor-council form of government, shall continue in full force and effect.
Public improvements for which legislative steps have been taken under laws existing at the
time of the organization under the mayor-council form of government may be carried to completion
