Section 11-44B-5 Conduct of elections; qualifications of mayor and council; qualifying fee. The elections provided for herein, and all subsequent elections, shall be conducted, the vote canvassed, and the results declared in the same manner as provided by the general law of the state pertaining to municipal elections for mayor-council forms of government, except as otherwise herein provided by this article. The mayor shall be elected by the whole of the electors of the city, shall be a qualified elector of the city, and shall have been a resident of the city for at least 90 days prior to his election and shall reside within the limits of the city during his term of office. Section 45-8A-21 Anniston City Board of Education. (a) A school board as established by the City of Anniston, Alabama, shall be called "The Anniston City Board of Education."
