Section 45-35A-54.03 Municipal officers; powers; laws, ordinances, and resolutions. The members
of the board of commissioners provided for by this part shall be municipal officers only,
and shall have, possess, and exercise the municipal powers, legislative, executive, and judicial,
now or hereafter conferred upon municipalities and the governing bodies thereof. All laws
governing Dothan, and not inconsistent with this part, shall apply to and govern the city
after it has become organized under the commission form of government provided for by this
part. All laws, ordinances, and resolutions lawfully passed and in force in the city under
its former organization not inconsistent with this part shall remain in force until altered

Section 45-5-120 Merit system; board; violations. (a) This section shall apply only in Blount
County, Alabama. (b) As used in this section, unless the context clearly requires a different
meaning: (1) "County" means Blount County; (2) "Municipality" means any

Section 11-44E-92 Powers and duties of city manager. The city manager shall be the administrative
head of the city. He (She) shall devote all his (her) working time and attention to the affairs
of the city and shall be responsible to the commission for the efficient administration of

Section 11-89C-4 Powers of public corporation; requirements for development or adoption of
rules, procedures, ordinances, etc. (a) When expressly required to comply with storm water
laws, any public corporation created pursuant to this chapter shall have the following powers:
(1) To establish, maintain, and operate an organizational structure pursuant to this chapter,
