Section 35-4-411 Ordinance or resolution describing proposed conveyance. When the county commission,
or the council or like governing body of a city or town, or governing body of any other subdivision
determines to alienate any public improvement described in Section 35-4-410, it shall adopt
a resolution or ordinance to that effect, describing the nature and extent of the proposed
conveyance and the minimum consideration therefor, if any. The ordinance or resolution shall
be published once a week for four consecutive weeks in some newspaper published in the county,
city, or town, and, if no newspaper is published therein, it may be published in a newspaper

Section 45-37A-52.199 When part takes effect. For the purpose of nominating and electing members
of the council and the mayor, this part shall become applicable to any city adopting the mayor-council
form of government upon the filing of the certificate of adoption by the judge of probate

legislative intent of this bill that the following provisions shall apply regardless of which
form of government the majority of the qualified electors voting in the election provided

Section 11-43A-3.3 Election in Class 7 municipality - Adoption of council-manager form of government.
(a)(1) In addition to any mayor-council form of government authorized in this chapter, the
governing body of a Class 7 municipality may elect by resolution to adopt a council-manager
form of government comprised of a mayor and four council members elected at-large. No petition
of qualified electors is required to initiate such an election by the governing body pursuant
to this section. If the governing body elects to adopt a council-manager form of government
pursuant to this section, an election on the question shall be submitted to the qualified
electors of the municipality. The governing body shall hold the election before January 1,

Section 11-52-15 Municipal planning commission. A Class 6 municipality with a council-manager
form of government may provide by ordinance for the members of the municipal planning commission,
upon the expiration of the current term of office for the current members, to be appointed
