Section 11-43A-116 Effect of article on existing laws. All laws and parts of laws, general, local or special, relating to or affecting such municipality, its powers, functions, duties, corporate limits or property, which are in force when this article shall take effect are hereby continued in effect; but all laws and parts of laws relating to the powers, functions and duties under any prior form of government shall be superseded to the extent that the same apply to any municipality electing to come within the provisions of this article and are inconsistent with the provisions of this article.
