Section 45-42-260 Authority to zone county property outside corporate limits of municipality.
(a) The Limestone County Commission may divide any territory at its discretion within the
county, but outside of the corporate limits of any municipality in the county into business,
industrial, and residential zones or districts including, but not limited to, zones or districts
where blasting may be carried out and the terms and conditions under which blasting may be
carried out and may provide the kind, character, and use of structures and improvements that
may be erected or made within the several zones or districts established and, from time to
time, may rearrange or alter the boundaries of the zones or districts and may also adopt ordinances
as necessary to carry into effect and make effective this section; provided, however, agricultural
and forest property assessed for ad valorem tax purposes at current use value as defined in

Section 45-44-260.09 Zoning; grant of power. For the purpose of promoting the health, safety,
morals, convenience, order, prosperity, and general welfare of the county, the planning commission,
with the approval of the county commission, is hereby empowered to divide the portion of the
county within its zoning jurisdiction into districts. The districts shall be of such number,
shape, and area as may be found best suited to carry out the purposes of this article. The
planning commission, with the approval of the county commission, shall provide for standards
within districts relating to the use of the land and the types and kinds of structures that
may be erected in the districts, and all home remodeling or modification in such districts.

Section 45-2A-60 Regulation in unincorporated areas and certain cities. (a) This section shall
apply only within the police jurisdictions of the Town of Summerdale, the City of Gulf Shores,

Section 40-9B-5 Granting of abatement. (a) Subject to the geographical or jurisdictional or
other limitations specified in subsections (b), (c), and (d), the governing body of a municipality,
a county, or a public industrial authority may grant abatements of all of the taxes allowed
to be abated under Section 40-9B-4 with respect to private use industrial property. (b)(1)

Section 11-51-194 Delivery license. (a)(1) Each municipality shall allow the purchase of a
delivery license by any business that has no other physical presence within the municipality
or its police jurisdiction for the privilege of delivering its merchandise therein. The amount
of the delivery license for the business shall not exceed one hundred dollars ($100). Nothing
herein shall prohibit a municipality from requiring by ordinance the purchase of a decal by
the taxpayer for each delivery vehicle making deliveries within the municipality or its police
jurisdiction. The charge for such decal shall not exceed the municipality's actual cost of

Section 45-2-261.02 Jurisdiction of the planning commission. The jurisdiction of the planning
commission for planning and zoning by district pursuant to Section 45-2-261.07 shall apply
to all unincorporated areas of Baldwin County. The planning commission shall not have authority
