Section 31-2A-43 (Article 43.) Statute of limitations. (a) Except as otherwise provided in
this article, a person charged with any offense is not liable to be tried by courts-martial
or punished under Section 31-2A-15 (Article 15) if the offense was committed more than 12
months before the receipt of sworn charges and specifications by an officer exercising court-martial
jurisdiction over the command or before the imposition of punishment under Section 31-2A-15
(Article 15). (b) Periods in which the accused is absent without authority or fleeing from
justice shall be excluded in computing the period of limitation prescribed in this article.
(c) Periods in which the accused was absent from territory in which the state has the authority
to apprehend him or her, or in the custody of civil authorities, or in the hands of the enemy,

Section 35-12A-11 Disposition of proceeds of sale. (a) The manufactured dwelling community
owner may deduct from the proceeds of the sale any of the following: (1) The reasonable or
actual cost of notice, storage, and sale as provided in this chapter. (2) Unpaid rental fees,
but only to the extent that the manufactured dwelling community owner's lien has priority
over the lien of any applicable lienholder. (3) Reasonable attorneys' fees and costs. (b)
After deducting the amounts listed in subsection (a), the manufactured dwelling community
owner shall remit to the county tax collecting official any property taxes and/or other fees

article apply to the municipality by adopting an ordinance creating a municipal housing code
abatement board and designating that each member serving on the municipal governing body shall

Section 40-9-19 Homesteads. (a)(1) Homesteads, as defined by the Constitution and laws of Alabama,
are exempt from all state ad valorem taxes. In no case shall the exemption apply to more than
one person or head of the family, nor shall the exemption exceed $4,000 in assessed value
or 160 acres in area for any resident of this state who is not over 65 years of age. (2) The
homesteads of residents of this state, over 65 years of age, or who are retired due to permanent
and total disability, regardless of age, or who are blind as defined in Section 1-1-3, regardless
of age or whether such person is retired, shall be exempt from all state ad valorem taxes.
(3) The state Commissioner of Revenue may define and specify the condition or state of health
