Section 11-97-9 Bonds of corporation generally. (a) Any corporation shall have the power to issue, sell and deliver at any time and from time to time its bonds in such principal amount or amounts as its board shall determine to be necessary to provide sufficient funds for achieving any of its corporate purposes, including the payment of interest on any of its bonds, the establishment of reserves to secure any such bonds and all other expenditures of such corporation incident to and necessary or convenient to carry out its corporate purposes and powers. Any corporation shall also have the power to issue from time to time bonds to renew bonds and bonds to pay bonds, including interest thereon and, whenever it deems refunding expedient, to refund any bonds by the issuance of new bonds, whether the bonds to be refunded have or have not matured, and to issue bonds partly to refund bonds then outstanding and partly for any other of its corporate purposes. Section 16-6D-9 Tax credit claims; administrative accountability; verification of requirements; rules and procedures. (a)(1) An individual taxpayer who files a state income tax return and is not claimed as a dependent of another taxpayer, a taxpayer subject to the corporate income tax levied by Chapter 18 of Title 40, an Alabama S corporation as defined in Section 40-18-160, or a Subchapter K entity as defined in Section 40-18-1 may claim a credit for a contribution made to a scholarship granting organization.
