Section 45-26-130 Appointment and employment; duties; compensation; equipment and facilities.
(a) This section shall apply only in Elmore County. (b) The Elmore County Commission
shall appoint and employ a county engineer or chief engineer, who shall be a thoroughly qualified
and competent professional engineer. The county engineer or chief engineer shall possess all
of the qualifications as specified for county engineers or chief engineers under the general
laws of the State of Alabama. The county engineer or chief engineer shall be responsible for
the maintenance and construction of the public roads, bridges, and ferries in the county and
shall perform other duties related to his or her appointment as may be assigned by the county

Section 11-23-6 Certain services to be provided by industries within industrial park;
contracts with county or municipalities for services; industrial parks not subject to annexation
or police jurisdiction of municipalities; jurisdiction of county sheriff and courts; public

Section 11-20-30 Definitions. Whenever used in this article, unless a different meaning
clearly appears in the context, the following terms, whether used in the singular or plural,
shall be given the following respective interpretations: (1) CORPORATION. Any corporation

Section 11-71-4 Powers of authority. Any authority formed pursuant to this chapter shall
have the following powers, in addition to those stated elsewhere in this chapter: (1) To enter
into competitively bid contracts and agreements affecting the infrastructure projects of the

Section 11-89C-9 Powers of governing bodies. (a) A governing body shall proceed under
this chapter as a participant in the public corporation or individually, to adopt upon reasonable
public notice and following public hearing all necessary rules and regulations by resolution
or ordinance to implement this chapter and to specifically regulate and control storm water
discharges and eliminate the discharge of pollutants to its municipal separate storm sewers.
Provided, however, that all discharges originating from any lands or facilities owned or operated

Section 32-7C-36 Legislative intent, scope, and construction of article. (a) It is the
intent of the Legislature to provide for uniformity of laws governing TNCs, TNC drivers, and
TNC vehicles throughout the state, and to provide that TNCs, TNC drivers, and TNC vehicles
be governed exclusively by state law, including Article 1 of this chapter, governing insurance
requirements for TNCs and TNC drivers, and any rules adopted by the commission consistent

Section 45-28-244.01 Levy and collection of tax; disposition of funds; Etowah County
Development Committee. (a) In Etowah County, there is levied a one cent ($0.01) county sales
and use tax in all areas of the county, which may become effective no sooner than January
1, 1996. (b) The tax shall parallel the state sales and use taxes including exemptions therefrom
and enforcement proceedings therefor. The Etowah County Commission may administer and collect
this tax, or contract with a private entity or the State Department of Revenue to administer
and collect this tax, and provide for enforcement penalties by resolution. The county commission,

parks. (a) Subject to the written approval of the owners of 100 percent in interest based
on assessed value for ad valorem tax purposes of each 10 acres, or the part thereof to be

This article shall not apply to the transfers of real property between departments, boards,
