Section 16-65-6 Bonds generally. (a) Issuance of bonds. The authority is authorized and empowered to issue its bonds from time to time for the purpose of making equipment loans to finance equipment costs incurred or to be incurred by educational institutions. Such bonds may be in such aggregate principal amount as the board of directors shall determine to be necessary to pay the equipment costs included in such financing. The authority may pay from the proceeds of the sale of its bonds all expenses, including publication and printing charges, attorneys' fees, financial advisory fees, and other expenses which the board of directors may deem necessary or advantageous in connection with the authorization, advertisement, sale, execution, and issuance of its bonds or the making of equipment loans from the proceeds thereof. Section 33-2-182 Authorization to issue refunding bonds. Subject to the provisions contained in this article, the department may from time to time sell and issue its refunding bonds for the purpose of refunding any or all of the outstanding bonds then outstanding, together with any interest thereon whether due and unpaid at the time of issuance of such refunding bonds or not, and with any premium that may be necessary to be paid in order to redeem or retire those outstanding bonds proposed to be refunded. Section 11-50A-21 Proceeds of bonds. Proceeds of the bonds issued under authority of this chapter shall be used solely for the payment of the costs of a project or combined projects, and any other corporate purposes of the authority, and shall be disbursed upon requisition or order of the persons and under such restrictions as the resolution authorizing the issuance of the bonds or the trust agreement or indenture may provide.
