Section 40-12-255 Manufactured homes. (a) Every person, firm, or corporation who owns, maintains
or keeps in this state a manufactured home as defined according to subsection (n) of this
section, except a manufactured home that constitutes a part of the inventory of a manufacturer
or dealer, shall pay an annual registration fee of $24 for an owner occupied single wide (one
transportable module) manufactured home, $48 for an owner occupied double wide or larger (two

Section 45-49-221.01 Exemption of certain metal structures from inspection requirements and
building codes. (a) In the unincorporated areas of Mobile County, a metal structure or metal
shed which is used for a hunting camp, hunting club, or hunting lodge shall be exempt from
the inspection requirements of county ordinances and the county building code relating to
plumbing, electricity, and other utilities. The term county building code as used in this
subsection shall mean the state building code as permissively adopted by Mobile County under

State Board of Education. (b)(1) The Department of Revenue shall issue a certificate of exemption
to the governmental entity for each tax exempt project. (2) The Department of Revenue shall
grant a certificate of exemption from state and local sales and use taxes to any contractor
licensed by the State Licensing Board for General Contractors, or any subcontractor working
under the same contract, for the purchase of building materials, construction materials and
supplies, and other tangible personal property that becomes part of the structure that
is the subject of a written contract for the construction of a building or other project,

Section 11-52-32 Approval or disapproval of plat generally; legal effect of approval; powers
of planning commission as to subdivision zoning; approval or disapproval of plat in certain
cities. (a) Except where the development of a subdivision within the territorial jurisdiction
of a municipal planning commission is regulated by the county commission pursuant to Section
11-52-30, the municipal planning commission shall approve or disapprove a plat within 30 days
