Section 4-3-47 Powers of authority generally. The authority shall have the following powers,
together with all powers incidental thereto or necessary to the discharge thereof in corporate
form: (1) To have succession by its corporate name for the duration of time (which may be
in perpetuity) specified in its certificate of incorporation; (2) To sue and be sued in its
own name in civil actions, excepting actions in tort against the authority; (3) To adopt and
make use of a corporate seal and to alter the same at pleasure; (4) To adopt and alter bylaws

Section 11-58-6 Requirements as to leasing of medical clinics or clinical facilities; disposition
of revenue from operation of clinic. (a) Prior to the leasing of the medical clinic or clinical

Section 11-92C-15 Failure to pay past due assessments. If any user, lessee, or owner of the
project fails to pay when due, with time being of the essence, any assessments or fees due
under this chapter, including, but without limitation, any payments in lieu of taxes, collectively

Section 11-88-7.1 Additional powers. (a) Any authority organized or operating pursuant to Chapter
88 of Title 11 shall, in addition to all other powers now or hereafter granted by law, have

Section 24-1-6 Establishment of rentals and tenant selection in low rent housing projects.
(a) It is declared to be the policy of this state that each housing authority shall manage
and operate its low rent housing projects in an efficient manner so as to enable it to fix
the rentals for dwelling accommodations at the lowest possible rates consistent with its providing
decent, safe, and sanitary dwelling accommodations for persons of low income, and that no
housing authority shall construct or operate any such project for profit, or as a source of
