Section 11-47-218 Powers of authorities generally; location of projects; exercise of power of eminent domain. (a) In addition to all other powers at any time conferred on it by law, and subject to any express provisions of its certificate of incorporation to the contrary, an authority shall have the following lawful powers, together with all powers incidental thereto or necessary to discharge thereof in the corporate form: (1) To have succession by its corporate name in perpetuity or for the duration specified in its certificate of incorporation. Section 11-50A-9 Issuance of bonds; prerequisites; procedure; provisions; execution; bond resolution covenants. (a) The authority shall, prior to the adoption by the board of a resolution authorizing the issuance of any bonds, enter into one or more contracts with two or more municipalities which are authorized to contract with the authority pursuant to Section 11-50A-17. The authority is authorized and empowered to issue its bonds from time to time for the purpose of making equipment loans to finance equipment costs incurred or to be incurred by educational institutions.
