Section 45-25-91 DeKalb County Economic Development Authority. (a) There is created the DeKalb County Economic Development Authority. The authority is created for the purpose and has the responsibility of aiding and assisting current industries and coordinating efforts of all municipal and county agencies of DeKalb County, Alabama, as well as aiding organizations in the development of new industries which will provide job opportunities for the citizens of DeKalb County. (b)(l) The authority shall be governed by a board of directors consisting of seven members. Two of the seven members shall be appointed by the DeKalb County Commission. Three members shall be appointed by a majority vote of the legislators representing DeKalb County. (a) The Local Government Health Insurance Board shall govern and administer the Local Government Health Insurance Program currently governed and administered by the State Employees' Insurance Board (SEIB) pursuant to Chapter 29 of Title 36. The transfer of the governance and administration to the board shall take effect at 12:01 a.m. on January 1, 2015, and thereafter the board shall take all control and responsibility for the program under procedures and authority set out in this chapter.
