Section 34-13-1 Definitions. (a) For purposes of this chapter, the following terms shall have
the following meanings: (1) ACCREDITED SCHOOL or COLLEGE OF MORTUARY SCIENCE. A school or
college approved by the Alabama Board of Funeral Service and which maintains a course of instruction
of not less than 48 calendar weeks or four academic quarters or college terms and which gives
a course of instruction in the fundamental subjects including, but not limited to, the following:
a. Mortuary management and administration. b. Legal medicine and toxicology as it pertains
to funeral directing. c. Public health, hygiene, and sanitary science. d. Mortuary science,

user thereof of freight cars, oxygen and acetylene tanks, and similar property, in respect
of which detention a demurrage or per diem charge is made against the user of such property,
shall not be deemed to constitute a transaction whereunder property is leased or rented to

Section 10A-8A-3.03 Statement of authority. (a) A partnership may deliver to the Secretary
of State for filing a statement of authority, which: (1) must include the name of the partnership
and: (A) if the partnership has not filed a statement of partnership, a statement of not for

Section 10A-9A-10.11 Liability of general partner after conversion or merger. (a) A conversion
or merger under this article does not discharge any liability under Sections 10A-9A-4.04 and
10A-9A-6.07 of a person that was a general partner in or dissociated as a general partner
from a converting or constituent limited partnership, but: (1) the provisions of this chapter
pertaining to the collection or discharge of the liability continue to apply to the liability;

Section 10A-2A-9.15 Effect of conversion. (a) When a conversion takes effect: (1) all property
and contract rights owned by the converting organization remain vested in the converted organization
without transfer, reversion, or impairment, and the title to any property vested by deed or
