Section 16-25-11.20 Purchase of credit for time on medical leave or full-time employment with Legislature, etc. (a) Any active and contributing member of the Teachers' Retirement System may claim and purchase service credit in the system for any prior service described and limited as follows: (1) Not more than one year for time spent on medical leave approved by the state or local employer. (2) Not more than 10 years for full-time employment with the Alabama Legislature. Any credit union, with the approval of the Administrator of the Alabama Credit Union Administration, may merge with another credit union, under the existing certificate of organization of the other credit union, pursuant to any plan agreed upon by the majority of each board of directors of each credit union joining in the merger.
