Section 10A-8A-2.03 Execution, filing, and recording of statements. (a) A statement may be delivered to the Secretary of State for filing. A certified copy of a statement of authority that was filed by the Secretary of State may be delivered to a judge of probate for filing in accordance with Section 10A-8A-3.03(f) and (g). A certified copy of a statement that is filed in an office in another jurisdiction may be delivered to the Secretary of State for filing, and once filed by the Secretary of State, in the case of a statement of authority which is intended to have a similar effect to that of a statement of authority under Section 10A-8A-3.03(f) or (g), may be delivered to the judge of probate for filing in accordance with Section 10A-8A-3.03(f) or (g). Section 10A-1-8.01 Conversion of business and nonprofit entities. (a) A conversion of an entity may be accomplished as provided in this section: (1) CORPORATIONS. a. Section 40-2B-2 Alabama Tax Tribunal. (a) Statement of Purpose. To increase public confidence in the fairness of the state tax system, the state shall provide an independent agency with tax expertise to resolve disputes between the Department of Revenue and taxpayers, prior to requiring the payment of the amounts in issue or the posting of a bond, but after the taxpayer has had a full opportunity to attempt settlement with the Department of Revenue based, among other things, on the hazards of litigation.
