Section 34-27-31 Recovery Fund created; fees paid to fund; injured party's recovery
from fund; procedures, appeals, etc.; licensee to report any legal action taken against him
or her. (a) The commission shall establish and maintain a Recovery Fund from which an aggrieved
party may recover actual or compensatory damages, not including interest and court costs,
sustained only within the State of Alabama as a result of conduct of a broker or salesperson
in violation of Article 1 or 2 of this chapter or the rules and regulations of the commission.

Section 40-1-2 Lien for taxes - Generally. (a) If any person liable to pay any tax,
other than ad valorem taxes, neglects or refuses to pay the same the amount, including any
interest, penalty, additional amount, or addition to such tax, together with any costs which
may accrue in addition thereto, shall be a lien in favor of the State of Alabama upon all
property and the rights to property, real or personal, belonging to such person. Unless another

Section 41-10-44.8 Tax credits, job development fees and other incentives. (a) Upon
the issuance by the authority of its project obligations for the purpose of financing a project
for an approved company with respect to which the authority adopted a resolution accepting
the project prior to January 16, 1995, the approved company: (1) Shall receive a credit against
the corporate income tax levied by Section 40-18-31 that otherwise would be owed to
the state in any year by the approved company on its income generated by or arising out of
the project, such credit not to exceed the lesser of (i) the amount due in tax, or (ii) the

date of the valuation manual as defined by Section 27-36A-15. (1) GENERAL. Every life
