Section 26-1A-301 Power of attorney form. A document substantially in the following form may be used to create a power of attorney that has the meaning and effect prescribed by this chapter. Section 22-35-4 Alabama Underground and Aboveground Storage Tank Trust Fund. There is hereby created the Alabama Underground and Aboveground Storage Tank Trust Fund, hereinafter referred to as the "fund," to be administered by the Secretary-Treasurer of the Retirement Systems of Alabama. The fund shall be used by the department as a revolving fund for carrying out the purposes of this chapter. To increase public confidence in the fairness of the state tax system, the state shall provide an independent agency with tax expertise to resolve disputes between the Department of Revenue and taxpayers, prior to requiring the payment of the amounts in issue or the posting of a bond, but after the taxpayer has had a full opportunity to attempt settlement with the Department of Revenue based, among other things, on the hazards of litigation.
