Section 10A-2A-1.40 Chapter definitions. Notwithstanding Section 10A-1-1.03, as used in this
chapter, unless otherwise specified or unless the context otherwise requires, the following
terms have the following meanings: (1) AUTHORIZED STOCK means the stock of all classes and
series a corporation or foreign corporation is authorized to issue. (2) BENEFICIAL STOCKHOLDER
means a person who owns the beneficial interest in stock, which is either a record stockholder
or a person on whose behalf shares of stock are registered in the name of an intermediary
or nominee. (3) CERTIFICATE OF INCORPORATION means the certificate of incorporation described
in Section 10A-2A-2.02, all amendments to the certificate of incorporation, and any other

Section 15-13-101 Definitions. As used in this article, the following terms shall have the
following meanings, respectively, unless the context clearly indicates otherwise. (1) APPEARANCE
BOND. An appearance bond is an undertaking to pay the clerk of the circuit, district, or municipal

Section 34-29-111 Duties of board; Alabama Veterinary Professionals Wellness Committee; liability.
(a) It shall be the duty and obligation of the State Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners
to promote the early identification, intervention, treatment, and rehabilitation of veterinary
professionals licensed to practice veterinary medicine or veterinary technology in Alabama
who may be impaired by reason of illness, inebriation, excessive use of drugs, narcotics,

Section 10A-4-4.01 Amendments to certificate of formation by administrators and the like. Administrators,
executors, guardians, conservators, or receivers of the estates of shareholders of a domestic
professional corporation who hold all of the outstanding shares of the corporation may amend
the certificate of formation by signing a written consent to the amendment and delivering

Section 10A-2-16.02 Inspection of records by shareholders. REPEALED IN THE 2019 REGULAR SESSION

Section 10A-2A-16.11 Annual report for Secretary of State. (a) Each corporation, and each foreign
corporation authorized to transact business in this state, shall deliver to the Secretary
of State for filing an annual report that sets forth: (1) The name of the corporation and

law, including, but not limited to, this chapter, an individual acting as an economic development
professional is not a lobbyist, unless and until he or she seeks incentives through legislative

Section 40-18-39 Corporate returns. (a) Except as provided in subsection (c), every corporation,
joint stock company, or association subject to income tax under this chapter shall file a
return with the Department of Revenue for each taxable year, stating specifically the items
of its gross income and the deductions and credits allowed by this chapter. In cases where
receivers, trustees in bankruptcy, or assignees are operating the property or business of
