Section 40-18-14 Adjusted gross income of individuals. The term "gross income" as
used herein: (1) Includes gains, profits and income derived from salaries, wages, or compensation
for personal services of whatever kind, or in whatever form paid, including the salaries,
income, fees, and other compensation of state, county, and municipal officers and employees,
or from professions, vocations, trades, business, commerce or sales, or dealings in property
whether real or personal, growing out of ownership or use of or interest in such property;

Section 34-1-8 Registration of public accountants. Written evidence of registration as public
accountants shall be issued to: (1) Any person who is a resident of this state, or practices

Section 40-28-3 Counties to share payments with municipalities served by T.V.A.; basis for
allocation of payments to counties served by T.V.A. (a) Distribution of the in-lieu-of-taxes
payments of T.V.A. by the state to the served counties shall be made to the governing bodies
of served counties. Any county receiving a share of said payments that has within its boundaries
a municipality or part thereof that is served in whole or in part by T.V.A. shall share in
the county's payments with said municipality receiving the same amount as the ratio of T.V.A.-served

Articulation and General Studies Committee. (a)(1) The Commission on Higher Education is authorized
to review periodically all new and existing programs and units of instruction, research, and
public service funded by state appropriations at the state universities and colleges and to
share with the appropriate governing board, through the president of the institution, and
