Section 45-37-123.132 Adjustments to annual benefit and limitations. (a) Adjustment if fewer
than 10 years. Effective for limitation years ending after December 31, 2001, if a member
has fewer than 10 years of participation in the plan, then the defined benefit dollar limitation
of Section 45-37-123.131(a) shall be multiplied by a fraction, the numerator of which is the
number of years, or part thereof, of participation in the plan, and the denominator of which
is 10. However, in no event shall such fraction be less than one-tenth. Notwithstanding the
foregoing, no adjustment shall be made to the defined benefit dollar limitation for a distribution
on account of a member becoming disabled by reason of personal injuries or sickness, or as

Section 45-44-244.30 Definitions. As used in this subpart, the following words shall have the

Section 25-5-1 Definitions. Throughout this chapter, the following words and phrases as used
therein shall be considered to have the following meanings, respectively, unless the context

Section 29-1-26 Legislative double dipping prohibited. (a) This section shall be known and
may be cited as the Legislative Double Dipping Prohibition Act. (b) Any other provision of
law to the contrary notwithstanding, and except as provided in subsection (c), a member of
the Legislature, during his or her term of office, may not be an employee of any other branch
of state government, any department, agency, board, or commission of the state, or any public
educational institution including, but not limited to, a local board of education, a two-year

organizations, etc. - Generally. (a) The governing board of any county, city, town or public

of the State of Alabama which has a population of 400,000 or more people according to the
last or any future federal census, there shall be a personnel board for the government and
