Section 10A-2-8.62 Directors' action. REPEALED IN THE 2019 REGULAR SESSION BY ACT 2019-94 EFFECTIVE
JANUARY 1, 2020. THIS IS NOT IN THE CURRENT CODE SUPPLEMENT. (a) Directors' action respecting
a transaction is effective for purposes of Section 10A-2-8.61(b)(1) if the transaction received
the affirmative vote of a majority, but no fewer than two, of those qualified directors on
the board of directors or on a duly empowered committee of the board who voted on the transaction
after either required disclosure to them, to the extent the information was not known by them,
or compliance with subsection (b); provided that action by a committee is to be effective
only if (1) all its members are qualified directors, and (2) its members are either all the
qualified directors on the board or are appointed by the affirmative vote of a majority of

Section 16-36-60 State Textbook Committee. (a) The State Textbook Committee is created. The
committee shall consider the merit of textbooks offered for use in the public elementary and
high schools of the state and make recommendations for approval or rejection, or both, to
the State Board of Education as hereinafter provided. In making recommendations to the State

Section 22-22-7 Technical and other advisory committees. (a) In order to make available to
the commission the services of an advisory body on such technical matters as the commission
shall require, there is hereby created the Technical Advisory Committee to the commission

Section 34-24-363 Witnesses - How subpoenaed and sworn; failure to comply. (a) To any such

Section 45-49-120.06 Personnel board. (a)(1) The personnel board shall consist of five members
designated respectively as Member 1, Member 2, Member 3, Member 4, and Member 5, each of whom
shall be over 19 years of age, of recognized good character and ability, a qualified elector

Section 36-26-27 Dismissals and disciplining of employees generally. (a) An appointing authority
may dismiss a classified employee whenever he considers the good of the service will be served
thereby, for reasons which shall be stated in writing, served on the affected employee and
