Section 9-16-72 Definitions. The following words and phrases, unless a different meaning is plainly required by the context, shall have the following meanings: (1) APPLICANT. Any person or legal entity who or which applied for a license or a permit to engage in surface coal mining operations. (2) APPROXIMATE ORIGINAL CONTOUR. That surface configuration achieved by filling and grading of the mined area so that the reclaimed area, including any terracing or access roads, closely resembles the general surface configuration of the land prior to mining and blends into and complements the drainage pattern of the surrounding terrain, with all high walls and spoil piles eliminated; water impoundments may be permitted where the commission determines that they are in compliance with this article. Section 10A-20-1.07 Dissolution. Any corporation sole under this article may be dissolved by the bishop who constitutes the corporation filing with the Secretary of State an application therefor, which shall be subscribed, sworn to, and certified as in the case of an application for incorporation. Upon the filing of the certificate, the corporation shall cease, and all its property rights and liabilities shall pass to the bishop, but no bishop shall be responsible for liabilities of a dissolved corporation in any greater sum than the value of property of the corporation which may come into possession of the bishop upon its dissolution. Section 10A-2A-1.21 Certificate of existence or registration. (a) The Secretary of State, upon request and payment of the requisite fee, shall furnish to any person a certificate of existence for a corporation if the writings filed in the office of the Secretary of State show that the corporation has been incorporated under the laws of this state. A certificate of existence shall reflect only the information on file with the Secretary of State.
