Section 36-26-14 Deferred compensation plans for certain employees. (a) The personnel board
may adopt, establish, and maintain a deferred compensation plan or plans, except under Internal
Revenue Code Section 403 (b), for the employees of the State of Alabama or any city, town,
county, or public entity or corporation organized pursuant to the laws of this state. Notwithstanding
the foregoing, prior to the employees of a county or political subdivision of the county participating
in a plan, the employing county or political subdivision of the county shall approve participation
in the plan. The personnel board may include in any such plan any provision that does not
cause the plan to fail to qualify for its tax-favored treatment under the United States Internal
Revenue Code, including, but not limited to, participant loans, unforeseeable emergency or

Section 5-17-3 Use of words "credit union" in name or title. It shall be a misdemeanor
for any person, association, copartnership, or corporation, except corporations organized
in accordance with the provisions of this chapter, credit unions incorporated under the laws
of the United States, the trade associations of credit unions doing business in this state,
and other organizations as approved by the administrator, to use the words "credit union"
in their name, title, or in advertising. A credit union organized under the provisions of
this chapter shall include in its corporate name or title the words "credit union."
Any violation of this prohibition shall subject the party chargeable therewith to a penalty
of five hundred dollars ($500) for each day, with a maximum amount of fifty thousand dollars
($50,000), during which the violation is committed or repeated. The penalty may be recovered

Section 19-4-20 Definitions. When used in this article, the following words and phrases shall
have the following meanings, respectively, unless the context clearly indicates otherwise:

Section 41-10-36 Definitions. Unless the context requires otherwise, the terms defined in this
section shall have the following meanings for purposes of this division: (1) AFFECTED BOND.
