Section 40-23-1 Definitions; transactions considered or not considered sales. (a) For the purpose
of this division, the following terms shall have the respective meanings ascribed by this
section: (1) PERSON or COMPANY. Used interchangeably, includes any individual, firm, copartnership,
association, corporation, receiver, trustee, or any other group or combination acting as a
unit and the plural as well as the singular number, unless the intention to give a more limited
meaning is disclosed by the context. (2) DEPARTMENT. The Department of Revenue of the State

Section 10A-1-7.35 Out of state business or property of foreign entity not subject to control
or regulation. (a) The public interest lying in the promotion of business and industry in
this state, it is the intent of the Legislature and declared to be the policy of the State
of Alabama by passage of this section to promote and encourage industry and business in Alabama

Section 10A-1-7.06 Amendments to registration. (a) If any statement in an application for registration
or a statement of foreign limited liability partnership was false when made or any arrangements
or other facts described have changed, making the application for registration or statement
of foreign limited liability partnership, as applicable, inaccurate in any respect, the foreign
entity shall file with the Secretary of State an amendment correcting the false or inaccurate

Section 37-3-32.1 Administration of Unified Carrier Registration Act of 2005. (a) Foreign and
domestic motor carriers, motor private carriers, leasing companies, brokers, and freight forwarders
