Section 10A-1-7.02 Foreign entities not required to register. (a) A foreign entity not
described by Section 10A-1-7.01 (c) may transact business in this state without registering
under this chapter. (b) Subsection (a) does not relieve a foreign entity from the duty to
comply with applicable requirements under other law to file or register. (c) A foreign entity
is not required to register under this chapter if other law of this state or of federal law

Section 10A-1-1.03 Definitions. As used in this title, unless the context otherwise
requires, the following terms mean: (1) AFFILIATE. A person who controls, is controlled by,

Section 16-6F-6 Authorization of establishment; Alabama Public Charter School Commission;
registration requirements; powers and duties of authorizers. (a) Eligible authorizing entities.

Section 10A-1-8.01 Conversion of business and nonprofit entities. (a) A conversion of
an entity may be accomplished as provided in this section: (1) CORPORATIONS. a. The
terms and conditions of a plan of conversion of a corporation, other than a nonprofit corporation,
must be approved in accordance with the procedures and by the stockholder vote required by
