Section 10A-8A-9.08 Filings required for merger; effective date. (a) After each constituent organization has approved the plan of merger, a statement of merger must be signed on behalf of: (1) each constituent partnership, as provided in Section 10A-8A-2.03(a); and (2) each other constituent organization, as provided by its governing statute. Section 36-25-1 Definitions. Whenever used in this chapter, the following words and terms shall have the following meanings: (1) BUSINESS. Section 11-51-90 Municipal business licenses; branch offices; application. (a) All municipalities shall have the following powers: (1) To license any exhibition, trade, business, vocation, occupation, or profession not prohibited by the Constitution or laws of the state which may be engaged in or carried on in the municipality.
